How To Fix ShopXpert When It Acts Up In One Browser
Works on your phone but not on your computer? Hard refresh, try a private window, then clear the cache and cookies in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
If ShopXpert works on your phone or another computer but acts up in one browser (a blank or white page, a page that keeps loading, buttons that do nothing, a sign-in that loops back to the login page, or an old version of a screen), the cause is almost always old files or cookies that this browser saved from an earlier visit. The fixes below take a minute and don’t change anything in your ShopXpert account.
1. Hard refresh the page
A hard refresh reloads the page and downloads every file again instead of using the saved copies.
- Chrome, Edge or Firefox on Windows: press Ctrl + Shift + R (or Shift + F5).
- Chrome, Edge or Firefox on a Mac: press Cmd + Shift + R.
- Safari on a Mac: press Option + Cmd + R, or hold Option and choose View > Reload Page From Origin. (In Safari, Cmd + Shift + R opens Reader instead.)
2. Try a private (incognito) window
A private window starts with no saved files and no cookies. Open one, go to ShopXpert and sign in. If ShopXpert works there, the problem is the saved data in your normal window, and step 3 fixes it.
- Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N on Windows, Cmd + Shift + N on a Mac. Or click More (the three dots at the top right) > New Incognito window.
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N on Windows, Cmd + Shift + N on a Mac. Or click Settings and more (the three dots at the top right) > New InPrivate window.
- Safari on a Mac: Shift + Cmd + N, or choose File > New Private Window.
- Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows, Cmd + Shift + P on a Mac. Or click the menu button (three lines at the top right) > New private window.
3. Clear the cache and cookies in that browser
If ShopXpert works in the private window, clear the saved files and cookies in your normal window. Then close the browser, open it again and sign in.
Chrome
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete on Windows (Cmd + Shift + Delete on a Mac), or click More (three dots) > Delete browsing data.
- Set Time range to All time.
- Tick Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files. You can untick Browsing history.
- Click Delete data.
Microsoft Edge
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete on Windows (Cmd + Shift + Delete on a Mac), or click Settings and more (three dots) > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear.
- Set Time range to All time.
- Tick Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
- Click Clear now.
Safari on a Mac
- Choose Safari > Settings, then click Privacy.
- Click Manage Website Data.
- Type shopxpert in the search field, select the ShopXpert entries and click Remove.
Firefox
- On the ShopXpert page, click the padlock to the left of the address bar and choose Clear cookies and site data. This clears ShopXpert only.
- To clear everything instead: click the menu button (three lines) > Settings > Privacy & Security, go to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data. Tick Cookies and site data and Temporary cached files and pages, then click Clear.
4. Still not working?
Check that the browser is up to date and turn off ad blockers or other extensions for ShopXpert, then try again. If it still acts up, start a chat and choose Talk to a person, or use our contact page. Tell us which browser and device you use, what you see on the screen, and that it works on your phone, so we can fix it fast.
