Yes. ShopXpert is built so you can shape it around how your machine shop actually works. You do not need custom code for the day-to-day fit. You pick the modules you need, set up your company settings, and build the lists, forms, and job stages your team already uses.
Turn on the modules your shop needs
During the 14-day free trial, you get full access to every module so you can try them and keep what fits. After that, you choose modules from your subscription. Common building blocks include the ShopXpert App, Workstation Module, Vending Module, and Time Clock Module.
Depending on your shop, you may lean on solutions such as Manufacturing ERP, Production Management, Quoting and Job Costing, Quality & Traceability, Vending & Inventory, CMMS & Maintenance, Supplier and Outsource Management, Workforce Time Tracking, Training and Knowledge Management, or Machine Tracking.
See Add Card & Select Modules for how module selection works in the app.
Configure Settings to match your shop
In Settings you set the foundation:
- Company profile: name, address, logo, chat color, contact details, time zone, shipping method, and currency.
- Lists & Menus: start with the defaults, or add and edit values for things like address names, bank accounts, course types, and job stages so dropdowns match your process.
- Serialization: set serial number patterns for modules such as suppliers, forms, RFQs, and purchase orders.
- Access privileges: control what each role can see and do.
- Time Clock: configure attendance settings for your floor.
- Job stage templates: define the stages and tasks you reuse when creating jobs, so quoting and production follow your shop’s workflow.
Build custom forms without code
The Form Builder lets you create forms with text, numbers, checkboxes, multiple choice, file uploads, signatures, tables, and inspection checks. You can assign forms to teams and use them for inspections, quality checks, maintenance sign-off, and other shop paperwork. Start with How To Create a Form. Operators can fill forms at the workstation too: How To Open & Fill Out Forms on Workstation Device.
Shape job workflows
Jobs break into stages and tasks. You manage stage lists in Settings, use job stage templates for repeatable flows, and track progress as task statuses update each stage. That is how ShopXpert mirrors your floor process without writing software.
